Born out of New Zealand’s legendary hydrofoiling innovation, Vessev has launched the VS-9, the world’s first electric hydrofoiling passenger vessel. And that’s just the beginning.
Backed by Blackbird Ventures and partnering with Fullers360, NZ’s largest ferry operator, Vessev is taking bold steps to replace conventional marine vessels with smarter, greener alternatives.
The VS-9 delivers a smoother ride, uses 95% less energy than petrol-powered boats, and is just the first in a line of fully electric hydrofoiling craft, including a 100-passenger VS-18 already in development.
Led by former Apple Watch engineering lead Eric Laakmann and engineering prodigy Max Olson, Vessev combines world-class design, sustainability, and performance to revolutionise how people move across water.
