Snapshot of HotDoc
Modern Healthcare, Simplified
Australia’s largest patient engagement platform.
HotDoc was founded in 2012 by psychiatrist-turned-founder Dr. Ben Hurst, inspired by the inefficiencies he saw in clinic operations and the frustrations voiced by his GP mother and ENT specialist father.
After seeing ZocDoc in action while living in New York, Hurst returned to Melbourne and partnered with Simon Holland and Tom Spacek (Papercloud Ventures) to build an Australian solution.
HotDoc began as an online booking tool, tested at Hurst’s mother's clinic. It now powers 2.1M+ monthly appointments and serves 25,000+ practitioners across the country.
Why Work at HotDoc
Real-world impact Nearly one-third of Australians use HotDoc to manage their healthcare.
Lean, proven, product-led Grew from Papercloud’s seed support to $25M+ annual revenue and partnerships with major providers like Healthscope and Sonic.
